BSR University: Public Speaking Demystified

Learn practical tools to enhance your public-speaking skills. Participants will learn breathing exercises to reduce nervousness, stay focused, and set a foundation for developing a strong, resonant voice. Participants will learn articulation exercises to increase clarity and be heard effortlessly by their audience. Once a stronger physical and vocal presence is established, this training will focus on delivery, including individual feedback, how to influence listeners with carefully placed pauses, use of word stress, and vocal modulation to develop a delivery that is clear, articulate, and memorable. This workshop is suitable for beginning to advanced speakers. This training will be led by Lisa Wentz, founder of the San Francisco Voice Center. Wentz regularly coaches speech and presentation skills with executives and managers from Fortune 100 companies including Adobe, eBay, Google, Oracle, Salesforce, and VMware. She is considered one of the top coaches in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been featured as a public-speaking expert in the Wall Street Journal and L.A. Daily Journal, among others.

training time: 1-4 p.m.
