Session Description
Investors and the financial markets play a critical role in advocating for sustainability performance by public companies. The reason is simple: Experience and research shows sustainability performance is positively correlated with financial returns. This is why many pension funds, which are the world’s largest investors, are increasingly interested in responsible investing. This session will look at how non-financial companies can more effectively engage with their investors on their sustainability agenda, and provide an opportunity for participants to seek advice directly from two of the world’s leading investors on this important topic. Learn about recent trends in mainstream investor engagement on sustainability issues and innovations and find out how companies’ sustainability teams and investor relations departments initiate conversations with investors on sustainability issues.
