Session Description
Once considered a leadership practice pursued by only a handful of companies, human rights impact assessments have become crucial elements of sustainable business strategy for a wide range of companies. These impact assessments help companies identify risks before they become full-fledged human rights violations, and as such are a key element of the corporate responsibility to respect human rights. But once the assessment is complete, the real challenge is what to do next, and how. Addressing the risks, maximizing opportunities, and embedding human rights throughout the company requires a collaborative effort involving virtually all functions at the company. In this session, experts from the telecommunications, mining, and hospitality sectors share their experiences integrating findings from impact assessments in ways that improve human rights and create business value.Scheduled Speakers
