BSR University: Trends in Sustainability Reporting

November 3, 2015 • 9:00 am-12:00 pm

Significant changes are afoot in the sustainability reporting world as companies seek to move beyond simply reporting their activities to reporting outcomes and impacts on sustainability. To help companies evolve their sustainability reporting approaches, this training session will provide participants with insights and guidance on three themes underpinning a successful reporting strategy: transparency, standards, and measurement. We will explore expectations for corporate transparency and how reporting can provide discipline to an overarching transparency strategy. We will also review the complementarity and overlap of different standards, norms, frameworks, and guidance governing non-financial reporting. Finally, we will discuss different methodologies available to help companies measure the entirety of their impacts. This training session is intended to give a solid overview of the trends we see in the reporting space, while providing practical insights companies can use to think through their reporting strategy.

training time: 9 a.m.-Noon
